Cruck Frame Stow Cabin
A cruck framed cabin 3 metres wide and over 11 metres long, built on site in Stow, Scotland. Built using locally sourced larch poles and boards and designed to fit into a long narrow space at the rear of the property. The front bay is a covered decking area, including one side wall with fitted lourves. The other side is a fully insulated cabin space, complete with woodburner and encased around two cruck frames. The crucks of the cabin are shaped to provide just enough space for a person to pass through whilst remaining at the height required by planning.
The cabin is used as a garden room and temporary bedroom space. The stained glass pieces in the front door and rear wall are both Woodcraftian creations
